Couleurs thermofixables

ARASILK is a range of colours for painting on silk.
ARASILK colours are heat fixed (using an iron or a domestic oven). The current range contains 43 different shades which can all be mixed together and comes in two different sizes of bottles : 50 and 250 ml. ARASILK is also suitable for other fabrics including wool, cotton or any natural textiles. It is always advisable to trial painting and fixing on your chosen fabrics.
ARASILK colours are manufactured with harmless raw materials and are considered to be environmentally friendly. We don’t need to print any harmful warnings on the label.
ARASILK is manufactured and packaged in France.
Instructions : ARASILK is suitable for all traditional silk painting techniques : salt, gutta, watercolour, airbrush, Batik, Mahaju…
Thinner : enables you to obtain pastel tones (it is a water based medium).
Clean the tools under running water.
To fix the colours : iron the silk on the reverse side on “cotton fabric” or bake in a oven at 150°C for 5 to 10 minutes.
To wash the silk : Silk painted with ARASILK can be washed after fixing. Wash very carefully in lukewarm water (30 to 40° C) using mild soap, then rinse under cold running water.
Storage : store in a cool, well ventilated place. Don’t expose to extreme temperatures.
